Netting Systems
The actual netting itself is the heart of the Hi-Nets system. Specially developed to conform to the highest quality standards, the netting is manufactured from a knotted synthetic stranded mesh which has been selected to provide outstanding resistance to ball impact and abrasion, wind and weather. The type of synthetic material used varies according to the demands placed upon it and the prevailing conditions. The netting is normally black, but can be manufactured in other colours. An ultraviolet stabiliser is added to provide additional resistance to adverse weather conditions.
The dimensions of the mesh and the aerodynamic performance of the filament ensures that the net performs both in effectively stopping the balls, yet allowing the wind to pass freely through it, without excessive resistance.
The net panels are individually manufactured with edge border cords and overlocked stitching along all sides. Mesh dimensions will vary depending on the sport. The net panels normally incorporate a metre high section running parallel to the bottom of the net which allows for simple and inexpensive replacement in the event of damage by animals or machinery.
